A1 Assessors Qualification

Aim:

To train & assess individuals in Unit A1 "Assess candidates using a range of methods" which will qualify them to assess candidates for NVQ's, SVQ's and other similar competency based qualifications in areas which they are occupationally competent.

Pre Requisites:

The student (Trainee Assessor) must be occupationally competent in the area that they would like to assess & have access to a registered assessment centre and a minimum of two candidates

Training & Assessment Methods

Based on completing a training course, followed by personal mentoring (by a qualified and experienced assessor) and finally an assessment of the trainee assessor by 2 qualified & experienced assessors

Confirmation of Learning

Is achieved by practical assessment of the candidate assessing in the workplace and the completion of a portfolio of evidence
